One in every 125 children born in the United States has a Congenital Heart Defect.
The Lea Family and The Grace Alice Campbell Foundation are committed to raising money to help children with congenital heart defects.
Heart defects are the number one cause of death from birth defects; more than twice as many children die from them in their first years of life than from all types of childhood cancers combined.
We are raising awareness by hosting a variety of education programs:
Starting a coloring contest at a local elementary school
Coordinating activities in support of National Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week (Feb 7-14).
We are committed to raising money to help children with congenital heart defects.
In the past three years, the Hearts at Play "Family Fun Night" event, as well as other fundraising efforts, have raised nearly $70,000. Every cent of which has been donated to programs dedicated to helping children with congenital heart defects.
